The Dahl Road Crows Nest National Park Loop

The Dahl Road Crows Nest National Park Loop takes in mostly bushland areas to the east of Crows Nest township. It can be ridden in either direction and includes gravel country lanes and roads with some sealed sections.

To ride in a clockwise direction, head south along Toowoomba Road and turn east on to Albert Street at the police station (first road after Bullockys Rest crossing the creek) and head towards Crows Nest National Park. This is a sealed road with some moderate hills. The road surface is gravel after the National Park turn off. Continue east for another 2 kilometres and turn north on to Dahl Road. This is a delightful ride on very quiet country lanes after the National Park. Be aware that the road surface can have loose gravel or sandy patches.

The cicadas can be deafening during the summers months. Although close to Crows Nest, parts of this ride are quite remote with very few residences along the way.

If you have time, drop into the Crows Nest National Park and explore some of the walking tracks there.
